17 cancer anniversary

Postby helen098 » Tue Jun 06, 2023 11:27 am

wow 17 years
the last few days I have been reliving it all, like watching a bad movie
the early morning cab to the hospital, the doc face when it said don't worry its only a cancer cell or 2, ICU, chemo and the pack, the hugh needle and cold feeling in the pit of your stomach and of course the gift that keeps on giving neuropathy .
the support, the staff, clear scans and coloscopies, the colon club.

I feel good but sad for the people who we have lost.

if your just starting remember listen to your body, don't try to be a hero/good little cancer solider, ask for help, rest, be selfish and take care of yourself and drink (water of course  )

take care
Helen
