Re: Beginning TIL Therapy at NIH Next Week

I hadn’t realized immunotherapy was available for patients who weren’t MSI, unless they had a high tumor mutation rate.

Really interested to follow this and hoping for all the best for you!!

Re: Feedback on your website and your signature

Gina - There are a couple of things that you could do that, in my opinion, could make your current website even better. ⋅  Your history of treatments / interventions. You have created an excellent webpage succinctly summarizing your own history of treatments. However, this list may not be...

Re: A new idea: feedback requested

No; my goal is to put the most valuable content out there to the broadest audience for free. Potentially a memoir would be “monetizing” but not really the key driver of why I am exploring. Eventually, I would like to move into speaking engagements where I share some perspective on how what I learned...

Re: A new idea: feedback requested

Thank you both; definitely focused on making it easy for anyone to access content. The website / blog will continue to be open access and will likely link to other platforms. It’s interesting to hear advice about hosting on a consistent platform; I’ve gotten counsel to broaden across multiple, and s...

A new idea: feedback requested

Hi everybody, And apologies in advance as this post isn't so much about support but feedback that might help me build and launch an idea. I know many here already know that I turned my Facebook group content into a public blog for anyone who might benefit from looking at it. I'm glad it's out there,...

Re: Humor or Just Foggy from Anesthesia?

LOL!

Missed this one but appreciate the humor. Recalling the days I kept maxi pads stuck to my chest to catch the leaky drain liquid post surgery - for weeks.

Just another one of those cancer indignities that keep us all humble!!

Re: My CRC with liver mets journey

Monday’s ablation was successful - yay!! Got the official biopsy report today: both the tumor cite and margin around it (10mm) were negative for malignancy. And the PET scan directly after was clear, too - will rescan in a month, but I’m feeling really optimistic. With my blog now live, I’m starting...

Re: Another spot… ablation ahead

Well, two good news reports: One, we had an amazing time in Norway, a country that should be on everyone’s bucket list in my opinion! Granted, a lot of that was because we were fortunate enough to be staying with various cousins; but it is truly a breathtaking place. Two, I had a successful ablation...

Re: My CRC with liver mets journey

I've been neglecting updating this thread for a while, posting instead on separate threads that are more specific to what I am going through. My latest update (already shared) is that my June 2022 scan picked up a spot where I had radiation this past November, so I am headed next week to MSK for an ...

...Highland Park, a community several neighborhoods north where we have many friends; .... Gina - You mentioned above that you have many friends in Highland Park. I was wondering if by any chance you knew of, or had heard about, a former Highland Park resident named Eric Roth. He was a long-time me...

Re: Another spot… ablation ahead

I would never survive with just carry on. But we are here for 7 weeks. Heading to Spain tomorrow morning. Dropping off my son at school. Heading north with my daughter including hiking at the Pyrenees. Seven weeks sounds like heaven! Hope you enjoy every moment. Our evening was marked by a mass sho...

We never check luggage - and this is exactly why! Although Heathrow is also zero fun to go thru baggage screening, as well: so I guess you can’t win!

“Find a life worth enjoying; take risks; love deeply; have no regrets; and always, always have rebellious hope. " ~ Dame Deborah James (bowelbabe) This is definitely the energy I’m trying to embrace right now, especially as a mom. Here is the post I wrote about how scary it is to love deeply w...

Re: Another spot… ablation ahead

Also, as someone who has never felt comfortable with the “fight” frame, I liked your post’s attempt to reimagine that. I agree that there’s lots of learning and wisdom, not really things that come from “fighting” per se. To me, it feels like sailing through a storm at sea. I hope to be exaggerating...

Re: Question for the brains trust!

I'm thinking about how I would feel in this situation - I would take the recommendation to wait: It feels like your disease isn't moving super aggressively. I'm equating your doctor's uncanny clinical skills with someone like Kemeny, who seems to be able to take in / understand data that others cann...
