Re: Insurance

Thank you for your thoughts on this, Rp. Much appreciated. I see sinister things fixing to happen within the next year mostly likely due to increasing profit over patient scenarios. Hands swiping hands.
BCBS also sent thr letter to my onc so our appt will be interesting.

Re: Lung nodules and genetic testing

My small one at dx showed up but not lit up. I have PET/CT scan every year. They didn't light up until the 3rd one, 3 1/2 yrs later. And even then only the 5 mm met lit up at 1.3 SUV. Went to Germany, had all 4 taken out and 3 were mets even though just one lit up. I have 3 CT scan per yr (3 month s...

Re: Lung nodules and genetic testing

Playbook answer per SOC is what you got. It's not them so of course they are not worried. I would push for 3-6 month scans and bloodwork. What is you CEA? Any panels high or low? I carried a lung met for 3 1/2 yrs (day 1 of dx) before it grew to 5 mm and by that time I had 3 more, One turned out to ...

Insurance

OK, I got a letter from BCBS stating they put my capcetibine under review and it will be under review every year provided it be rx'd with in network provider. So, are they planning to exclude certain doctors outside of SOC? My onc is intergrative. I can see trouble coming with several scenarios for ...

Thymus tapping

TCM dr told me about thymus tapping. He wanted me to trry it twice a day, tapping counter clock wise for 20 seconds or so.
Interesting after researching it.
Just thought I'd pass along this info if anyone wants to research the benefit of thymus tapping.

Re: New guy with old questions.

Reading your post and comments I believe you are on the right track. For surgery I will say vitamin D levels drop dramatically so think about that. Inflammation can and most likely sky rocket so keep that in mind too. Both of these are important for recovery. I went to Germany for Rolles laser lung ...

Re: Chemo induced anemia…

Could it be a vitamin deficiency because of chemo he's on. If so, then I would suggest liverworst. It is full of b vitamins, folate, all the things good for healthy RBC's. I take it when Inotice mine are getting low and it brings it up. Tastes terrible but works in about 2-3 weeks you will see resul...

Re: Clinical trial thoughts

Hi skimom, from what I have been reading and watching on youtube about histotropsy is that if liver or ther approved organs are targeted that for now thought is it generates a huge immune response (a wake up call to reconize) to go after other mets such as lungs. I watched a video about it and they ...

Re: Rage against the (American healthcare) machine

Geez Louise! Welcome to the new world of mSOC.
My xeloda rx went from $100 to $165 to now at 260.00 all with in a few refills of each other. I've thought about contacting Germany to see if they could offer cheaper and see if it would cross the border or not.

Re: Cea after surgery

My CEA was weird after second lung surgery. 3weeks I believe after surgery it was 3.x, then a few weeks later 2.1, then in 3 months time it now sits at 8.x This tells me my body is not abnormally producing CEA because it did get low now high again. Also tells me it will show up again on scan, just w...
