Re: Husband broke down last night

mpbser - For local oncologist, is there any way you could switch to another oncologist? According to your hospital website, there are 2 oncologists there. The one that you were assigned to is listed online as a Hematology Oncologist. with "Areas of Focus: Women's cancer care: Coagulation"...

Re: Husband broke down last night

... We don't fool with local oncs for blood tests; they're stuck in a rut. We've already tapped a lot more expertise and just order them ourselves, spread sheet them, and have them ready for any dr for consultations. Yes, that's what I do now for monitoring during my followup period. I do my own re...

Re: ANY Pros/Cons Vitamin D3 ?

... I just finished 6 months of chemo, and when I ask my oncologist from MD Anderson, he said that D3 is the only supplement he feels is important. He told me to take 1000-2000 IU per day. In addition, the following links provides information on Vitamin D3 and colon cancer: http://www.hopkinscolonc...

Re: 1st colonoscopy this Friday, August 18th!

... So good news, but still not out of the woods, just yet. GI Dr. found a 55mm polyp and sent it out for testing... Congratulations on completing your folonoscopy. When you meet with the doctor to discuss the results of your polypectomy , I think there are some issues that you will still need to c...

Re: CEA increasing trend

...Do you have a link to what values mean and what normal range is? The normal range depends on the particular assay or machine used for the test. Your lab report should indicate both the name of the assay/machine and the normal range for it. This might be in small print in a footnote or in small p...

Re: Rectal case from Hong Kong
