Re: I'm sorry for being selfish. Cea rise to 37.2

Hey that why this forum exists. If your living your life in-between then that's just great in my book. I had been wondering how you were getting on. Never treat a number is my mum's oncologists policy. Evidence in scans of disease progression would be necessary. Did you have a scan? You have probabl...

Re: CEA rise and fissures

Hi, From what I have observed with my mum over the last six years there does seem to be triggers that elevate her cea but no idea what causes them. She is stage4 with a cea of 7.3( I think)at diagnosis. Dropped initially with chemo then rose. Great shrinkage. This happened for two years. Surgery has...

Re: Why dont they..

Hi. I often wonder too. When we saw my mum's scans we thought she does not stand a chance. One tumour alone was the size of a small orange. We have our own team of medics in our immediate family and we thought she would have to make it into the top five percent responders to chemo to make it to surg...

Hi.
Really sorry to hear that. I am pleased you are going to speak to the doctor as you have been through a lot and hopefully they will have an option to make adjustments that will improve your quality of life.
Hang on in there and come here and get the support you need.
Much love

Re: Important letter - attn: all scared and lost

Hi. Firstly your English is wonderful and secondly what you bring to the forum is pure beauty and I sincerely hope that you do not feel any of this was against you. I was merely addressing the fact that some people despite their very best efforts have emotions that are difficult and impact their men...

Hi. Some interesting points on stress. I will be giving them some further thought. " knowledge is to know a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is to know not to put it I a fruit salad" . That is my analysis of his writing, some good points but lacks the multifactorial aspects of a very difficult il...

Hi.
Certainly not a professional approach, but best to remember it is a bad example of one doctor.

Hi. I was going to do this through pm but thought everyone should know that I think you are one incredible human being . Even despite dealing with the difficult side of this illness you always remain so very grounded. Back to the fluid. My mum had 42 lbs worth of post op fluid after her larger liver...

Re: Why I stopped posting

Hi. I think it is great that you guys can put down what you actually feel. Your freedom of speech always takes me by storm. I prefer straight talking but can not abide rudeness. I have no need to dominate any forum but have found this place a connection point in finding info for my mum and have been...

Frenchie, You can tell your wife that I have worked with people with life limiting conditions for ten years but I have never met anyone who rolls with the punches quite like you. You make me want to be a better human being and laugh more. More power to your elbow as my Irish daddy would say. Peanut....

Re: CEA went up

Hi. My mum has had her cea measured for six years. Her cea can go from 2.9 to 4.1 and for the last four years as a stage 4 patient her scans are find. She can sit at 4.1 then drop to 2.9 at the next reading. Certainly nothing to worry about just now.
