Wart or mole protruding from stoma

This can't be good. I have an appointment with dermatologist but they can't see me until May, is this normal. I call my oncologist about it they said I needed to see a dermatologist. I call my surgeon but they haven't got back to me. It's only about a quarter inch long and not very big around but ve...

Farewell to my port today

8) I bid farewell to my little buddy today. It came out a lot easier then It went in. Emotionally all over the place today. Went antique hunting ( it's what I do for a living) found some great stuff. Wound up going to an AA meeting. Not convinced I'm alcoholic just convinced I don't want to drink. R...

OMG I can eat beans now

It's not all bad news. Due to gastric problems I've never been able to eat canned beans. I've also had problems for years with certain vegetables that would fire up my gastric system so bad I couldn't sleep at night. Since my ostomy I have had very little problem with it And since I have a filter on...

Re: Ostomy problems.

MissMolly, thanks so much for the information. I will look into that tapeless wafer. I discovered that paste was a waste right away. The biggest problem I have now is with a two-piece Coloplast because the band that holds the bag keeps breaking. I do add outer tape after one day just for extra prote...

Re: life after chemo

I was so relieved when I was through chemo and radiation that I experienced a three-week natural High. I will look up every day feeling glad to be alive and worried about nothing. I just wish I could maintain that feeling because it's how I want to feel all of the time.

Re: Tailbone pain after EMR

Yes, I can't even sit through a movie or drive for more than 45 minutes and it's been about nine months. I am also experiencing extreme pain on both sides of my hips , which makes sleeping very difficult. I have to take painkillers in order to make it through the night.

Finally, made it through two colostomys and back home.

Finally a light at the end of the tunnel, no pun intended. I had to have a colostomy twice. The first one was a problem from the get. Instead of being pinkish it was dark red. My surgeon thinks that it possibly got cleaned a little too aggressively. As time progressed it's color faded from deep red ...

Re: Dilaudid long term use

I just had them switch me from dilauted to morphine. But the dilauted is a lot stronger It was causing weird problems for me when trying to transverse from dream state to reality. I'm thinking I need something less strong.

Re: Hospital docs concour my chemo doc FOS

They are no longer my doctors. Unfortunately, where I live it means 100 mile drive each way to get anything else. The business was relatively brand-new. I only wish I'd known what idiots they were I would've made the trip.
