Re: stopping oxaliplatin?

Hi My oxaliplatin was reduced by 20 percent. Oncologist said this drug was not really the important part of treatment drugs. I lost feeling in my hands first treatment before I even left cancer Ctr. They said that told them I was sensitive to it. After reduction although I had tinkling for several d...

Re: Did the aroma of your gas change after resection?

I have this problem too. Being a women makes it so much harder and embarrassing. I went on amazon and buy this spray Medi-aire biological odor eliminator. Re: Did the aroma of your gas change after resection?

I had surgery chemo and radiation and YES. I have this problem big time. And you have little time to get yourself to a safe place so to speak. Being a woman makes it all the more nerve racking.I hate this left over problem but the cancer is out of me. And that is beyond a great feeling. My entire ba...

Re: So is this normal after only one infusion of Oxi?

Hi I did my chemo and radiation in 2013. But I remember clear as day my first treatment. After the several hrs of chemo when I went to leave and grab the door I had no feeling in my hands. They told me I was very sensitive to the chemo for that to happen so quickly. My onc immediately reduced that d...

Re: Bad day, need my CC friends

Hi I am a recovered stage 3b patient. I had 6 months of chemo and 2 months of radiation. My chemo was stopped on 3 occasions due to counts and I received shots at each of those times. My insurance must have been contacted and approved as I did not get billed. I did take tylenol or one of the over th...

Re: it's all so new and scary

I read an answer given. About drink lots before treatment. I did not mention that. I was not good about that and paid for it as I got dehytrated several times. That just added problems that could easily been avoided. I like the idea on the egg sandwich which I had done that too makes perfect sense.

I too was confined to the house. Scared to leave as these are not just one trip to a bathroom kind of things. I still have many iss...

Re: Diet support for recovering patient

Thanks for the info. What about the foods you eat. I read colon patients should eat a lot of fruit and veggies. I gave up chocolate and seafood as my body did not like those anymore and quickly let me know. Went with plan b the vanilla Oreos for the sweet craving. Did you have problems with certain ...
