Re: Colovesical fistula (CVF) aka bladder to bowel fistua

Hi CRGuy, How are you? Yes, I do go back a ways on ColonTalk and very glad to know you are still moderating- very comforting! I try to pop on once in a while but mostly lurk. Hopefully, I don’t have this but being worked up and I like to do my homework before I am in the thick of things and more anx...

Colovesical fistula (CVF) aka bladder to bowel fistua

Hi, I am a long-term survivor of metastatic rectal cancer and owe many debts of gratitude to this Board for the emotional support and life-saving medical advice I received here. I was referred to Sloan Kettering when I developed a liver met a year after my original resection and have been NED since ...

Hi There,
I may have a colovesical fistula and wondered where your father ended up having surgery. I hope he is doing well and had a successful surgery.

Thank you

Re: Levsin (Hyoscyamine) for LARS

Thank you so much for all the research, CRG! I didn't realize it is an anit-cholinergic, as is immodium-- I wanted off of those, which is why I went the enema route. So, I guess I will continue with my drug-free, hydro lifestyle! Sorry for the delayed response. Spring finally arrived in Rochester, N...

Hi Ginabeewell,
MSKCC is a wonderful place! Are you working with Dr. Kemeny? I had Dr. Jarnigan as a surgeon-- fantastic doctor and human being.
Wishing you all the best. Feel free to PM me anytime!

Re: Is a ileostomy reversal worth it for a 60 year old guy?

I had a reversal and then LARS so now I do daily tap water enema and now have no LARS symptoms at all. Everyone has their own preference but I feel my lifestyle is about as close to pre-cancer as I can get.

Happy Post- Rectal Metastatic to Liver, now cured

Hi, This is the post I would have loved to read six years ago. I had Stage 2 rectal dx in 2011, LAR, radiation and chemo, and a year-and-a-half later metastasis to liver. I went to see Dr. Kemeny at Sloan-Kettering (thanks to the wonderful users of this site) and had liver resection and hepatic pump...

Re: Did Daily Enema Users consult Doctors?

I have been using daily tap water enemas for almost two years. LIFE CHANGING! No drugs, no dietary concerns. My internist, my two oncologists and my surgeon all approve and are thrilled along with me in the improvement in quality of life.

Re: Bev G

Wow, I am so very sad to read this. Bev was such a fixture on this board. She was a good writer and I loved her sense of humor. She was so responsive. Also, she was very dedicated to her husband, moving to Vermont to support his medical care-- and shared openly, and at times humorously, her struggle...

Re: BrownBagger ....... I don't know what to say

I am in shock... just saw this thread! I have been away from the board for too long. Eric was my upstate NY and MSKCC buddy. He was really inspirational in his Zen approach to living joyfully with the unknown. We haven't been in touch for a while...what a loss! Bike on, Eric! You continue to inspire...
