Re: Rectal Cancer: Habr-Gama Watch and Wait Strategy to Avoid Surgery

Roadrunner, What is CRT zone of death? I’m trying to get a handle on the viability of surgery or some procedure of my husband’s tumor in the rectum. Granted, his cancer is not under control which is also one of the reasons why Dr doesn’t recommend surgery due to being off chemo for so long. Thanks Sue

Re: Cryotherapy Qs

Hi hopeinGod2,

I was wondering if you pursued the cyroablation? and if so, was it successful? I'm about to ask our dr about this. It's not available where we live but hoping to travel if it could be an option for us.

Re: CT scan

Hi Buxton, My only experience is as a caregiver for my husband. I know our anxiety levels which is different between the two of us. My only offer is that I’d rather know earlier than later. My mental state is currently in fight mode for my husband so I feel like I’m learning as much as I can about t...

Pain from stent

Does anybody have any experience with rectal stents. My husband had one inserted in 6/22 and suffering from chronic pain since. The stent is in tact, but due to it being so low in the rectum and invasive tumor growth, it’s been very difficult to manage pain (on a decent amount of oxy) but also causi...

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

Pantufla, I hope that you were able to convince your DH to get for a an appointment. I know how terrifying the thought of even starting this all over again. And hopefully something is just irritated down there and not something off too concern. The weight loss is concerning though but not sure how l...

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

Hi Suelee, I am also a wife. My husband was diagnosed 10/27/22. So I am fairly new to all of this. I do understand the feeling of isolation. People reached out when they first heard, but after that it just feels like they don’t want you to even mention it. I just feel like everyone gets uncomfortab...

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

I would be interested. I am new here. My husband was diagnosed in Sep 2018 (stage 4, liver mets); in the last year, spots on the lungs. He’s been actively on treatment and his cancer is not under control. I refresh my clinical trials search each day, praying for a miracle. I came to this site in sea...
