Re: Stable disease

My sister, Maria, is currently facing a similar situation. The last two CAT scans have shown no changes, and her oncologist is pleased with the stability. Her CEA has consistently remained within the normal range since August. Despite these positive indicators, she harbors a slight disappointment as...

Re: Minimal side effects correlated to success?

Hi Bianca, My sister has been tolerating Folfiri+Avastin very well and has achieved good results. She experiences a bit of nausea on the first day of the infusion, but she feels fine on the following two days. On the third and fourth days, she begins to feel tired, but her energy starts to return by...

Re: IV Vitamin C- Complete information

Thank you, rp1954, for your informative response. I still have some questions, if you don't mind: I think the biggest name brand consults in the US for this would be Riordan Clinic and Block Integrative Center to try to tap their experience base on literature and cancer patient experience with IV vi...

Re: IV Vitamin C- Complete information

Bianca, They advised her to discontinue her oral Vitamin C intake, which amounted to 2 grams per day (1 gram in the morning and 1 gram at night). Additionally, they recommended she halt the use of Melatonin, despite her intention to start taking 20 mg (which is quite challenging to find in Europe, ...

Re: IV Vitamin C- Complete information

Was the clinic advising to stop oral supplements only? Or did they also suggest the IV bit C not be of benefit? I think the reality is, there is major conflicting arguments for and against. A quick google will tell you that not enough research has been done but IV vit C could have a benefit. I hones...

Re: IV Vitamin C- Complete information

Bianca 10, CoolHandLuke8723 and beach sunrise, Thank you for your informative responses. Although I reside in the US, my sister is currently in Spain, specifically in Mallorca. We've come across several places offering IV Vitamin C at quite extravagant prices (up to 650 euros per infusion). Most of ...

IV Vitamin C- Complete information

Hello, I'm fascinated by the topic of IV Vitamin C, and I believe that consolidating information on high doses of Vitamin C in one place would be incredibly valuable. I have some questions, and I would appreciate your input: 1. What qualifies as a high dose of Vitamin C, and how frequently should it...

Re: Spinal met- hope needed

I'm so sorry about this recurrence, Luna18. As you can see in my signature, my husband has been fighting vertebrae mets from the start (that's how his cancer was diagnosed originally, intense back pain). His mets are in L3 and L4; he had SBRT on L4 in early 2019, and after his recent recurrence to ...

Spinal met- hope needed

My dear sister Maria (now 50 years old, but DX 44), has a recurrence in vertebra 12 (and some small lung nodules). She had recurrences before, but this is the first time she has a bone recurrence. She does not have any pain (until tonight), and the report says "lytic bone lesion in the cortex o...

Re: Back after 10 years... recovering from surgery for cecal bascule, with a question

Oh thank you roadrunner! Dad passed peacefully last week . It’s been sad with mum so sick but we got her home and trying to build her back up . Juggling pain killers and bowels is tricky indeed . Missing dad so much. Caught up in the arrangements and endless notifications at the moment . Grateful f...

I am so, so sorry. It also breaks my heart. You dont know me but I have followed your journey for long time. This is so unfair! I was really hoping that Immunotherapy was going to work!

Re: When it rains...

Thanks guys. I do have a good support network here, but no one can understand what this recurrence means like the people on this forum do. Your strength helps us move forward! I understand perfectly what you are saying. Although I also do have support from friends and other members of the family, n...
