High D-dimer

Not sure if anyone tracks their d-dimer closely, but for these who do, would appreciate some feedback here. The scenario is that I've been tracking our hsCRP, D-dimer, ferritin etc closely to monitor the progress. On our Dec. 21 cycle, the hsCRP was 1.5, D-dimer is 0.58, ferritin 714. A casual check...

Re: stage 4 with extensive lymph nodes involvement

@siti, yes, we are in a very similar situations. In fact, i noticed we even went to the same city at one point. Will connect you via PM @JJH, sorry for the late response. Regarding Tempus report, all you have to do is request your oncologist to do this test and they should initiate the process. Insu...

Re: PET CT

Beach sunrise, you may want to add Signatera test into your mix of arsenals. Its a blood test which is suppose to help with detecting whether there are cancer cell in your body or not. Though this is also not 100%. If the tumor is sheding cell into blood while the blood was drawn then it will detect...

Re: stage 4 with extensive lymph nodes involvement

@O Stoma Mia , thank you for you load of information! Very helpful to read thru the collection. Our onco is planning to do 12 cycles of folfoxiri+avastin with us and see. Re: stage 4 with extensive lymph nodes involvement

Reading thru both @beach sunrise and @rp1954's comments, i initially did not fully understand since I was a little too focused on chemo options. After digging thru and reading thru your past posts, and with @O Stoma Mia's summary post, I realized that what you suggest is a combination of Integrative...

Re: stage 4 with extensive lymph nodes involvement

@O Stoma Mia, they are starting chemo to shrink it to see if a surgery can be done. Though both Northwestern & City of Hope mentioned they can't get rid of the lymph nodes as its spread out. The tumor is left side sigmoid colon area. The 4 markers (RAD51B, TP53, APC, ZNF217) according to the onc...

Re: stage 4 with extensive lymph nodes involvement

I'll call up MSK for a 2nd opinion on Monday. I went to Northwestern and they mentioned they can't get rid of it completely. Reading the olymphian's thread make me depressed that since what they went thru 10 years ago, there has been is no medical advancement, its the same few chemo. @rp1954, regard...
