Thank you for all your help

Hello, I wanted to thank all members here who helped and responded to my posts. Unfortunately, my Papa passed away 26th November 2021. I know nobody wants to read these news. My Papa had a type of colon cancer that was just too aggressive, too fast, too resistant to treatment. Even his oncologists w...

Lonsurf on nightly toilet visits

Hello We are starting day 4 on the first cycle of Lonsurf. Last night Papa was hourly on the toilet. I am worried that something is wrong with the kidney. The oncologist warned us that the drug can cause the appearance of proteins in the urine. Did anyone have something similar? If so did it go away...

Re: Disease progression on Folgiri Avastin

Thank you guys for all your input. Unfortunately, 2 days after posting my opening post my Papa was admitted to the hospital. He had emergency surgery due to an ileus. The surgery went well. They took a lot of samples to check and unfortunately there is more cancer than the CT showed. I dont know if ...

Re: swinging for the fence

From my point of view, you need four things to attempt a thorough salvage with a multimodal attack. 1. A full time chronomodulated ADAPT+++ formula to limit spread, stem cell circulation and kill smaller sites; ........ intravenous vitamin C (IVC) for the Kras cells. ...... "Full time chemo&qu...

Disease progression on Folgiri Avastin

Hello, Since May my dad got 5x Folfiri with Avastin and 5x TACE. Unfortunately, it was not helping. The disease is progressing and there might be a 3.6mm big lung metastasis. The liver metastasis got bigger but not more. Instead of Avastin, they will try another antibody now. Other possibility is Lo...

Re: Finally Found Out Staging: T3N2aM0. Need Help.

Dont be discouraged! Yes of course you are scared. I was also scared when I read statistics of survival for my dads cancer. But statistics dont say anything about you! Besides the cancer you are a healthy young woman with no diseases that will influence your prognosis. My dad only has MS, otherwise ...

Re: Examples where size doesn’t equal stage?

The most common systen which they used for my dad is UICC. It has TNM and some numbers after which are now to difficult to explain. T is the tumor size. In some instances the size matters but in colon cancer they distinguish how many layers of the colon wall the tumor invaded. They give T1 to T4. N ...

Immunosuppression

Hello, I wanted to ask if there is anyone here who has an autoimmune disease (MS, rheuma, lupus) , took medication to suppress the immune system (also in transplant) and then developed cancer. What were the features of your cancer and how did the doctors handle it? My dad has MS, took immunosuppress...

Re: Papa stage 4 recurrence, daily mm growth

16 days after TACE seems quite soon for a scan. My doc wanted 30 days after the 2nd session to evaluate things. Thank you for your answer! The doctors wanted to check if they at least stopped the growth and if there is something outside of the liver. The MRI was to check if it got worse again or no...

Re: Papa stage 4 recurrence, daily mm growth

Hi , The first year she had five mets . Segments 1 to 3 were clear but the rest had evidence of disease . She initially had four wedge resections but to be honest I think other disease was in there also but not big enough to detect so she immediately recurred . They did say they would have to be cr...

Re: Papa stage 4 recurrence, daily mm growth

Hello stu, Thank you for your answer! It was quite a challenge to get to know how the cancer is now. My Papa already had 2 liver resection but now there are 6 of them in each liver segment so I do not know if the liver resection like your mom had will ever be possible. I am hoping that RFA or MWA mi...

Papa stage 4 recurrence, daily mm growth

Hello, This is my first post so it will be really long to give an insight. Jan 2020 my dad got diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer (adenocarcinoma) with liver mets. He got a stoma, 4 x Folfox, he had a liver surgery then a colon surgery and then from August 2020 8 more chemos with 60% oxaliplatin un...
