Re: Ileostomy reversal. How long to recover.

I had my reversal before restarted chemo. Not standard but I wanted to have it. Never had any issues with the reversal or chemo. After reading horror stories I expected the worst. I could eat pretty much anything. Please do t expect the worse.

Re: Stage 4, still NED

Congratulations. I am really happy for you. I remember reading your story. About you relocating from Poland. I am also from Europe. Glad my kids are in college. One in medical school. Thank you for the info. The problem is that my Mets were not in my liver. I had an ovary involved and possibly few l...

Re: Stage 4, still NED

Congratulations. How important is a full pathological response? I had the same after 6 folfoxiri. Had a surgery on my 9.5 cm colon tumor that involved my ovary and possibly few lymph nodes outside of my colon. Qualifiesd as stage 4. No cancer cells found from the complete pathology. Than I had 5 mor...

Re: Anyone else struggling to live life normally?

You are very young to deal with this. Focus on a day at a time. Yes, focus on your career on your future. Look even if you had a reoccurrence. It's not a death sentence. I am in my best physical and mental stage. I look better in my late 40s than I was 20 years ago. I was in a mom's mode for 20 year...

Re: Polyp Came Back as adenocarcinom, invading muscularis propria. What are next steps?

I had a similar situation. Be as aggressive as possible on the treatment. I progressed to stage 4 from a malignant polyp. I have seen few others who have as well. But the majority is cured with resection. If there is no cancer in the lymph nodes you would be stage 1. If there is cancer in the lymph ...

Re: Lung met

I spoke to my friend to have more clear understanding. She has had clouds in her lung since diagnoses 4 years ago with a solitary met. She was told that it's normal and stable. In the clouds she has many (not sure number) so let's say multiple ground glass opacities. She has been on low dose chemo l...

Re: Stage 4 and surrogacy

Maybe. Her husband is around 65. She is early 40s. She is active on Christian social media. Interestingly received mostly exciting response. So yes, maybe I just can't relate.

Stage 4 and surrogacy

I have to admit that I am in shock. And don't know what to say. There is a woman with stage 4 breast cancer on chemo treatment currently living near me. The couple has 2 young children. Boy and a girl. The girl is around 3 years old. Boy probably 8. The couple just announced that they are having a n...

Re: Lung met

Thank you. I gave her the info. She says that there is a small nodular thickening in the both of the lower lobes. She believes that's cancer? There are areas called ground glass opacities. One of them tested positive for adenocarcinoma. And than she had the met removed that ended up being 1 cm.

Re: Lung met

I tried to get more info. But don't understand. My friend is not in a mental stage to answer. It seems the cancer cells were found in the lung fluid. So she feels it's not treatable.

Re: Lung met

Thank you so much. Will ask her. She had colon cancer. Her 0.6 cm lung met is confirmed as a met from her original colon cancer. Will find out more info.

Re: Lung met

Update: My friend has had I have ground glass opacities on her CT scan. Few of these areas. Her oncologist kept saying it's "nothing". It has been there since her diagnoses 4 years ago when she had the solitary liver met. During her lung surgery when the solitary 0.6 cm was removed the gro...
