There were 2 intensely avid lymph nodes in the prevascular and subcarinal region and also a shoulder acromion metastasis with an undisplaced fracture. I’ve had recent X-rays and a ct before this that showed nothing but bursitis. I don’t know what t...

Cea after surgery

After surgery how long did it take for your cea to drop? My last ct looks clear, all Mets were cut out 2 months ago. My cea is at 8, 6 weeks post surgery. The last cea was 12, approx a month before surgery. The 12 is mostly likely higher because of the trial drug I was on bonded to the serum cea and...

Re: Surgery.

Thanks road runner. Your info and experience is very helpful. For me they cut out 6 Mets all wedge resections. They were all there for at least a year. They’re not pushing more chemo and I’m trying to avoid more chemo but wondering if i should for the same reasons you mentioned. Again really appreci...

Re: Surgery.

Thanks for your 2 cents. My health was pretty good but I wasn’t much of a long distance runner. I haven’t heard of people running a marathon with one lung, gives me abit more hope

Re: Surgery.

Recovery has been harder after this operation, this time it was both lungs and I lost about 20% of tissue on each side. I guess last time the other side compensated. I’m walking about 5k twice a day and doing normal activities, but if I walk up a flight of stairs I will start hyperventilating. I’ve ...
