Re: highly suspicious mets to lung

I am happy to see your post and your husband is now recovering from the second surgery. I look forward to hearing about how everything went. Do you have a timeline of when you will be coming back? I would be nice to cross paths while there but I won't arrive until June 11th and at the hospital until...

Re: highly suspicious mets to lung

Thanks yall! I really need the confidence boost.
I was worried passport wouldn't arrive in time so we pushed surgery back to June 15, 2023. Good Grief Charlie Brown!
Passport arrived 3 days before first surgery date, smh. So, I could have made it happen after all. Anyway, it's now June 15th.

I am crying with you!
I am so very sorry for the loss of your wife. My heart is hurting so bad right now.
You both did everything right, know that and remember it when and if your mind wonders to what could I have done.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and will be forever.

Re: mCRC Stage IV mets to LV and LN - what can we do more?

An ND recommended to one of his patients ( a lady I was really close to) to take Theanine by Vital Nutrients to enhance Irenatecan (I know I butchered that word). He had her start out at 1 cap every 2-3 hrs the day before folfiri, then the day of and day after to see if any improvement within a mont...

Re: highly suspicious mets to lung

Thanks guys for all the support! Rp, I will take cimetidine and pectasol C as you suggest. I will also request Tramadol. Thinking about getting a vitamin D shot next week for that extra boost. Back around Thanksgiving when we had whatever*, two weeks before getting sick D levels were in the 80's and...

I am sorry. I just corrected post above about niacin and turmeric dosage.
It's T.I.D not B.I D.

Re: mCRC Stage IV mets to LV and LN - what can we do more?

To chime in here I take 1000mg Niacinamide right after breakfast, then 500mg niacin T.I.D This is what ND suggested. Fibrinigen I take Turmeric Force by New Chapter, 4 caps T.I.D. (it is a high dose) 4 caps after breakfast, 4 more caps 2 hrs later, 4 more caps 2 hrs later for a total of 12 caps per ...

Re: mCRC Stage IV mets to LV and LN - what can we do more?

Good on the CEA decrease so far.
Inflammation is a concern for sure. I battle it also.
I believe mine is IL-6 (a pathway for making new blood vessels) taking advantage of opportunity in IL-8 (leaky vessels). I think thats the way it goes.
What anti-inflammatories is your wife taking?

Re: highly suspicious mets to lung

If there are no complications with right lung surgery I will come home after 10 days to recover for 4 weeks then go back for second surgery. The second surgery will be the easy of the two. I have to be in the hospital on the 22nd for breathing tests and things. Then surgery the 24th. I think I'm goi...
