Im back on since my 24 year old cousin was diagnosed with colon cancer. The process has been devastatingly slow to get her initial scan, bloodwork...

MD Anderson costs estimate?

My moms oncologist wants her to get a second opinion at MD Anderson. We are from Las Vegas, she only has Medicaid so obviously it won’t cover her expenses. Does anyone have some kind of estimate of the costs. Also are there any kind of financial assistance programs or payment plans? Do they need mon...

Thank you for your replies! I guess being so unsure of my moms status means her onc isn’t being as straightforward as he can be.

I’ve read that there are surgeons who will perform hipec if another metastatic site is “controlled”. When and how are mets controlled. Her onc only uses vague words su...

Re: Keytruda induced pancolitis (help me please!)

Veckon! im so happy I read to the end! It absolutely made my day knowing there is no evidence of PC. As for the colitis, i'm not 100% sure it would be the same but I've had three C.Diff infections since january that have led to my current IBD-D. I would recommend googling C.diff forums as they have ...

Re: Neuropathy Treatment after Chemo

Yeah my mom wasn't even thinking of looking into it since it's pretty much nerve damage but her onc just brought it up. Her appointment is coming up soon so I will for sure update what happens. Susie, perhaps there is a similar doctor around you who uses non invasive stimulation as well! Please keep...
