My mother had a mass in her transverse colon, very large that was benign. She also had a very large cyst on her ovary...from presentation during surgery she complletely look stage 4 with ovary mets, but no...that was wierd because it was years ago and she was my age then....sure enough years later I have a tumor in my rectosigmoid area and it was cancer....I remember my gastro doc saying in a creepy way " yeah, hers just hadn't changed into cancer YET"...but she had it resected and has been OK since.

I haven't checked this in quite a while but just wanted to update everyone. The mass was benign thankfully. They removed the mass surgically along with about a foot of his colon. It took him a while to recover from the surgery due to his age I imagine, but he is doing great now. Thank you to everyone who prayed for him and provided any advice.
