Stage IV husband now NED!

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday was such a happy day for my husband and me. After two surgeries, six months of chemo, countless prayers, cards, casseroles, friend visits, nights crying and feeling so very alone, days when we both felt numb, and times when hope was sometimes an elusive creature - yesterday's CT scans found my sweet husband with no evidence of disease.

There are no words to thank everyone on this board for the words of encouragement and the stories of hope - you helped get us this far. We know this disease is not a sprint but a long, hard marathon, and we know the woods are not clear yet. But for now, my husband does not have to be sick anymore - and I am so thankful for that.

Again, thanks to all of you. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with all the heroes who fight this fight. Blessing to you all.

Stage IV
liver resection 2/23/09
13 cycles FOLFIRI completed 9/17/09 - then NED!
10/26/10 - 6mm met in lung
11/12/10 - lung resection
starting 12 cycles of FOLFOX w/Avastin - 12/10

Holly - praise God. You & Bart have been through a lot in a short time.
