Hi Gloria,
it's good that you have an appointment set up for next week. Is this an appointment with a specific person, and if so, do you know their name? If it's with an Oncologist on the Main Campus of Cleveland Clinic, then you might be able to find their name and other details about them (ratings, certifications, etc.) by using the link below. Click on the link and wait a few seconds for the search to be completed. (193 oncologists of one type or another there).

Oncologists, Main Campus, Cleveland Clinic

If you want to check out the Board Certification for the oncologist you will be seeing, or even your current oncologist, you can use the link below. On the form displayed in the link, enter the last name of the doctor, select Ohio as the state, and select Medical Oncology as the specialty.
Certification Matters

For your appointment next week, I think there are several issues that need to be addressed:
1. What was the MSI status of your primary tumor?
2. What was the KRAS mutation status of your primary tumor?
3. What was the BRAF mutation status of your primary tumor?

This information is needed in order to determine which treatment regimens are still available to you as well as which clinical trials you may be qualified for.

Hi Green Tea,

The Drs name is Dr. B.Laderian. She is an Oncologist and there is not a rating for her.

There are others than don’t have a rating.
She does have her name on an article “Distribution of Cancer Genes”

No results for Board Certified

My daughter made the appt with Oncologist that were available. I will recheck

The ulcer I had on my toe was caused from Oxaliplatin I asked her about it and she won’t offer it to me again because of skin break down.

Hi Gloria,
Actually, she is indeed Board Certified -- in two specialties -- but she got her certifications earlier when she was in N.Y., so her certifications don't show up in the Ohio list.

Here is a more complete list of her training, awards, fellowships, qualifications, licenses, publications, etc.:

Hi Gloria -

Good luck with your meeting this week. I hope the new oncologist can propose a better chemo routine for you -- something better than Regorafenib. Maybe something like FOLFIRI+Avastin. For reference, here are the main chemo drugs and chemo drug-combinations in use right now :

    Drugs used in Rectal Cancer
    1962 5-FU (Fluorouracil Injection) - no restrictions
1998 Xeloda (Capecitabine) - no restrictions

2004 Eloxatin (Oxaliplatin) - no restrictions
2004 Erbitux (Cetuximab) - mCRC 1st line+, KRAS wild type only
2006 Vectibix (Panitumumab) - mCRC 1st line+, KRAS wild type only
    2012 Keytruda (Pembrolizumab) - mCRC 1st line, MSI-H only
    2012 Zaltrap (Ziv-Aflibercept) - mCRC 2nd line,

Hi Gloria -
It looks like you made a good choice. Dr. E has years of experience, many positive ratings on his profile, and he also specializes in second opinions in the colorectal area, so that's an extra plus. I hope you will be able to talk with him soon.

Hi Green Tea,

He seems to be an excellent choice for Oncologist.

My appointment is 1/19. My Oncologist, Marissa Schwartzman does not have colon cancer listed on her specialties.

She wanted me off Chemo for only a month this will be a little over a month saw her last middle of December.
I pray he can help me more than Dr. Schwartzman, even if it is a second opinion.

Thanks to you I am learning how to get info from the cancer world and understand what I am doing.
