3 year scan. Wish me luck!

Postby benben » Tue Jul 07, 2020 1:24 pm

Hello CTALK folks.

Been a while since I've been active, but I just got back from my 3 year CT scan. Well Surgery was 4/16/17 and last chemo was 10/26/17 - So I'm presuming this is 3 years.
I haven't had much anxiety, but you know now waiting for results its creeping in a bit.

I've got so many plans and projects going on, I certainly hope the news is good! Building a house for one.
Took an Iceland trip at end of 2019 - amazing. Still biking tons, trying to LIVE as much as possible.

Well wishes to all,

Keeping my fingers crossed, wish me LUCK. From what I've read 3 years is a pretty big one. Of course 5 is even better :)

cheers.

Thanks All!

I have to admit, I'm really anxious.

Why? Cause I have not seen my results on my online charts yet.

In the past I've always gotten scan results the same night or at most a day later. Here we are 6 days post scan and I've not heard a peep.
Nothing on my online chart, no phone call, nada.

It really hit me hard with anxiety and effected my overall mood and demeanor. :(

I've at least calmed down some, but looks like I won't know for certain until my oncologist appointment on Thursday.

My GF says its most likely Coronavirus delays. Perhaps. I guess the last blood test I got I didn't get results until seeing the doc either, even though it was in the normal range at 2.3.

That was only a 3 day wait though.

I did have an echocardiogram done a couple months back and didn't get results back for several days either. The doctor called about 5 days after the test and gave good results with that one and the online results came in about a week later.

The hospital did get bought out by Providence and lots of changes have occurred as result as well. So who knows.

Still praying all is well..
