Coloplast SenSura Mio Click Two-Piece Closed Pouch 6211413

Postby Rikimaroo » Thu Jun 25, 2020 2:10 pm

Hello All,

Question regarding this pouch. I love the pouch and how easy it is to remove and snap back on. My only question is I feel this pouch is much more bulky in regards to sticking out. I know Lee uses it and not sure who else, but what have you done to make it less noticeable. I don't have a big gut. When I wear white T-shirts Large the outline of the pouch always shows. If I am going out of course I wear button up short sleeves shirt and it doesn't show as much, but I want to make it less conspicuous.

All advice is appreciated :)

Stealth Belt!

www.stealthbelt.com

I used to use the one-piece system of this pouch. Great product but yes it does need a wrap or belt or similar.

Good luck,

I wear a NuHope Ostomy belt specially designed for those people who have hernia around the stoma. The belt has an special ring that you put your bag through. Does not stick out.

Hope this helps, good luck.

I assuming on the ostomy wraps you wear it only when your going out? Doesn't it feel constricting when your stoma is going to be active obviously this is unpredictable, so how do you work around that?

I think I wrap is a good idea as well. I just don't want the thing to show lol.

I wear my belt from the time I get up in the morning till the time I go to bed at night. I do that because it helps my hernia.

The ring on the belt is slightly larger than the ring on your wafer.

Here is there website.

Check it out.

I wore the stealth belt 24/7, I just loosened it for sleeping. In the end I felt naked without it. It has a hole for the stoma and appliance to pass through and then a cover over it, so the pressure is around the connection, not on it. It doesn’t intervene at all with stoma movements as long as you aren’t wearing anything extremely tight (and it would have to be VERY tight to do that!) or have it tucked into your waistband (I had an ileostomy so I wore it over my waistband with a longer t-shirt over the top).

Rock did you get the vertical stealth or the one that you have to move your bag horizontal? How are you doing Rock since Ileo reversal? Glad to see your 6 months scans are good as well.

I am debating getting the stealth belt. I just want to conceal it a bit more, just this particular bag brand sticks out more.

Hi Riki,

I did get the vertical version (“Stingray”); my nurse suggested this as ileostomies really need to remain vertical (unlike colostomies). It’s a great product but not especially cheap - if we happen to have similar sizing I’d be happy to send you mine (well washed!) to try out!

Going very well thanks - yes I was very pleased with the scan results! Everything else is good - I’m 4 months post-reversal and generally have a pretty decent lifestyle. I’ve made a number of adjustments to my routine to make things workable, and about 80% of the time is seems to work. I must say working from home due to Covid has made things a lot easier in that regard.

Hope things are going well for you!

Cheers
