Hi there,
I have done SBRT, but not to my lungs. I know someone who has done SBRT to their lungs. I can share with you both experience.
SBRT was very easy to me. I had a total of 5 sessions to my pelvic area, I hadn't done more as it would damage too much of my colon. Each session lasted for about 15 mins (the actual session lasted for 10 mins, 5 mins went to ensuring you are positioned correctly in the machine). No pain, didn't feel anything. A tiny bit nausea, no diahrrea, no dry skin, nothing.
I had some back pain some days after sessions completion which may or may not be related to SBRT.
My friend who did SBRT to her lungs had more nausea but very easy compared to chemo, some pressing to the chest when walking up stairs or walking fast. Also quite easy to her.
It's a great technology from my point of view. Gd luck to you!
