Lung Metastatic Nodules

Postby Gloriamazz » Tue Mar 10, 2020 10:29 pm

Hi Everyone

Can someone explain about Metastatic Lung Nodules,
I started with Colorectal Cancer Stage 2 in July.
Operated on removed tumor 6 months later CS told Stage 4 Metastatic to Pelvis have Dense Mass and Lung modules that are cancer Oncologist going to watch.

February another Cat Scan no dense mass on pelvis only have lung nodules that am currently on chemo they have grown

What are the chances of these tumors resolving. What is the best treatment. And what success have you had with metastatic lung nodules?

I appreciate your feedback.
Thank you

Hello Gloriamazz,
My husband had multiple, tiny lung nodules (the largest one was 5mm). Because there were so many, systemic therapy (chemo) was the best approach. He did Folfiri + Avastin and they pretty much disappeared (although he's been off chemo for a while now, I have no idea if they've grown again, I guess we'll know at the next scan!).
That's great news about the pelvic mass being gone!
Wife of Dx 04/18 (51 yo). MSS, KRAS G12A
No primary (involuted?)
Lytic tumor L4 vertebrae, EBRT 04/18, SBRT 02/19
Resect small intestine 05/18 (no cancer - Crohn's)
Failed adjuvant Xelox
Folfiri + Avastin 03/19 to 01/20
6.7 cm left adrenal mass 03/19, successful resection 02/20
CEA since 03/19: high 58, low 3.2, now 4.4
Scan 03/19: Multiple small lung nodules up to 5mm
Scan 12/19: one 1mm stable nodule
PET 04/20 uptake by L4
L3-L4-L5 fusion surgery and residual tumor removal 05/20
