There's too much confusion
I can't get no relief…

game on bro'
you just chose my all time favorite Hendrix classic

listen to the first few bars intro
THAT is gold !!!!! and epic Hendrix

YES I know, Dylan wrote it ... BUTT ....
Jimi LIVED it and brought it to life ...
WORD !

When I was in high school I played with a guy who was a Hendrix freak
so I did my best Mitch Mitchell drums to back him.

We peeled a lotta paint off the plaster and were both electronic geeks back then,
and wired up a whole lotta tech modules. Other hiskulers thought we were weird
We loved IT !

Cheers buddy

My favorite Hendrix, and one of my all-time favorites period, too. I think even Dylan admitted that Hendrix made it his own song.

Were you using doing music with it? What kind of stuff?

I was into electronics as a kid too, though did not have a musical bone in my body. Did enjoy, for yucks, hooking up the TV to the stereo like an oscilloscope, with left and right speaker channels driving the vertical and horizontal coils on the CRT. Dark Side of the Moon made for some particularly good light shows as I recall.

Another well-worn album from the soundtrack to my hippie childhood.

“Oh they used to laugh at me
When I refused to ride
On all those double-decker buses
All because there was no driver on the top“

(Which I now learn was also a remake, like All Along the Watchtower.)

Were you using doing music with it? What kind of stuff?

using as in self medicating with back alley medicinals ?
actually NO, we were a brew crew and did no drugs at all,
beer after all is a wholesome natural nutritional product

That TV trick would be a blast ... well done my friend !!!
... BUTT ... Smoke on the Water probably would have been a bad omen for hotwiring your TV

We built a lotta stuff from Popular Electronics / Radio Electronics / Southwest Tech kit modules and schematics.
fuzz, wah-wah, mixers, BIG screaming amps, a theremin
Voice of the Theater knock off stacks ... all from scratch with discrete components.
Never saw an IC until we started messing with the E-mu Systems modules, which used plugin epoxy potted sub-modules.

Those were the crazy days and wild stuff that our youthful memories are made of !!!!

Cheers buddy
