Hi everyone, just posting on the 8 year anniversary of my stage IV cancer diagnosis. It is incredibly humbling to realize how fortunate and blessed I've been, especially since seeing so many other colon clubbers succumb to the disease. I truly have much to be thankful for this week.
Quick update on my status... CT surveillance was ended last year, I have an annual CEA check, and assuming my colonoscopy next year goes well, I'll be on a 5 year schedule. My wife had a daughter almost 3 years ago and we are expecting a son in the next few weeks. Life has pretty much returned to normal for my family.

I came here grasping for any hope I could find, and researched the supplements you told us you were taking way back then. I know we are all different and what worked for you might not work for everyone. My husband has been doing exceptionally well. The oncologist, chemo nurses, radiologists ... everyone are amazed.
I know we still have a long road ahead, but it is starting off so much better than either of us expected when we found out 3 months ago. We followed your guidance and things might be very different had I not come here and found your post.
Yours was the the most helpful of all the posts I have read and I do believe you have saved some lives.

Thanks for refreshing my memory of my first post all those years ago. I have since stopped taking all of the supplements except for the baby aspirin. I've had two follow up colonoscopies since I was NED and no polyps have been found. I sometimes wonder if my poor diet and more alcohol consumption (not heavy by any means though) back then caused my original polyps and cancer.

Honestly, I haven't made major lifestyle changes. My diet improved when I got married, but that was 3 years before I was diagnosed.
