In hospital.

Hi everyone. I haven't poates for quite a while.. Thursday nigjt i was in the most intense pian i have Ever been in. We went to the er and did a acan to find out i had a perforated bowl. The surgeon ended up giving me a colostomy bag and cut out a large portion of the tumor. I could have gotten very very sick. In the hospital for 5 day. Not thrilled about the nag but ao happy that we caught ot before i got seriously illl frim it.

April 2018 colon cancer stage IV 10 liver mets and peri met. Folfox and 12 rounds oxyplatin
Fec 2018 Down to 2 mets in liver. 8 dissapeared
July 2019 switched to xeloda pills as I prefer to 3 day infusion. Also on avistan
Oct 2019 emergency colostomy due to perforated bowel. ( unreal pain)
Feb 2020 show 2mm tumor increase.
Plan to go back on oxy
Oxy failed- irinotecan as of of Sept 2020

So sorry to hear but happy they got it in time. How are you doing otherwise on your treatment?

6/28/19 Reversal and port out
CEA 2.1; 1.9; 2.6; 2.8; 2.3; 2.4; 3.0; 3.4; 3.1; 3.4; 3.0; 3.1; 2.6
Latest update: 8/21/23 Clear CT with CEA 2.6!

Me: 34, first colonoscopy 11/16/18—normal! Come back in 5 years.

Sorry to hear you are in the hospital again. Are they still waiting on the liver met?

Really hoping they can get you to surgery on that as that is key to getting to NED status.

So sorry you are ill but so glad they caught it early and you listened to your body! DH just got out of the hospital after a nasty bout of pneumonia. Hope you can get some rest and be out soon to recuperate at home.

9/11/2019 - Radiation begins - 5.5 weeks along with oral capecitabine
