Clear colonoscopy

Postby DarknessEmbraced » Mon Sep 23, 2019 10:36 am

I had a colonoscopy this morning which was clear. I'm glad it was normal but I wish I knew why my digestive symptoms have been so much worse this month. My 5 year scans will be scheduled sometime this year.
Diagnosed 10/28/14, age 36
Colon Resection 11/20/14, LAR (no illeo)
Stage 2a colon cancer, T3NOMO

No chemo, no radiation
Clear Colonoscopy 04/29/15
NED 10/20/15
Ischemic Colitis 01/21/16
NED 11/10/16
CT Scan moved up due to high CEA 08/21/17
NED 09/25/17
NED 12/21/18
Clear colonoscopy 09/23/19
Clear 5 year scans 11/21/19- Considered cured! :)

Thank you CRguy! :) Maybe my hyperarathyroidism is affecting my digestive system. You're right they have to keep looking!

Thank you Boxhill! I think that maybe my digestive are caused by the high calcium from my hyperparathyroidism. I have been waiting since August 2018 to see the endocrinologist who holds a monthly clinic here. Then I will have to wait to be referred to a surgeon. I wish my family doctor would just refer me to a surgeon instead of still waiting for the endocrinologist. There is a doctor shortage here so I can't switch doctors. There used to be an endocrinologist here but she died and there has been no one to replace her.
