I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and can maybe talk me down from assuming the worst.
I had a tumor successfully removed via resection of sigmoid colon in May 2018. Clear margins. One of 28 removed lymph nodes had traces of cancer cells do I underwent 6 months of FOLFIRINOX (FOLFOX + Irenotecan). I'm part of a clinical trial so I'm getting CT scans every 3 months. My May scan was clear, however the one I did 2 weeks ago showed 2 small spots on my liver that my oncologist wants a better look at. MRI booked for Friday, but I don't get results until I see him on Sept 11. My CEA is at 1.3 which is pretty good for me. I'm trying not to worry, my oncologist says it could be nothing of concern, but it's hard not to be concerned that it's not liver mets. I guess my question is, has anyone had a scan with suspicious "spots" that turn out to be non cancerous? Mentally I'm gearing up for another fight, but also praying it could be ok (not cancer again)
Thanks all
