Husband has passed away from signet ring cell.

Hello all, my husband has passed away from signet ring cell colon cancer on July 1st, 2019.

He was diagnosed on October 26, 2017. Stage 3, T4 signet ring mucinus Adenocarcinoma. 6 out of 12 lymph positive. Treatment standard folfox protocol.

January, 2019 recurrence. Multiple lymph nodes metastatic to the lungs. panitumumab with irinotecan for 3 months. Got suprapubic catheter. Had progression of disease.

May 2019, clinical trial at Hopkins.
Had bilateral nephrostomy placed.
Got married.
Hospitalized the day after wedding.
Had pneumonitis and several visit to the hospital.
June 14, 2019 came home hospice.

July 1st, 2019 became my angel!
Diagnosed 0ct 2017 colon Cancer
Procedure: right hemicolectomy
Stage: 3BT4 Mucinous with Signet-Ring Cell poorly differentiated. :(
Treatment: Started Jan. 2018 Folfox
Ct scan July 2018: clear with prominent mesenteric 11X9 mm
Pet scab Aug 2018: CLEAR
Now and Forever Cured! Thank to the LORD

Latest update: 8/21/23 Clear CT with CEA 2.6!

Me: 34, first colonoscopy 11/16/18—normal! Come back in 5 years.

Words are inadequate, but I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I hope you have a support system to help you though this bullshit of losing your beloved husband.

commenced anti epileptic and steroids and
insulin.
01/25/18 brain craniotomy 80% of tumour removed pathology says gbm4
6 weeks of rad and Temodar chemo and then 6 monthly cycles of Temodar
MRI in Oct no tumor
Mri Jan 2019 tumour growth Feb Pet scan tumour 6cm, no surgery, starting Avastin also Lomustine
