In February 2013 I had Irreversible electroporation (I think it is now called Nanaoknife) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center on a tumor in my liver that was too close to my arterial artery to remove it or even to do RFA since the blood in the artery would cool the RFA too much for it to be effective on the cancer cells closest to the artery. It was very noninvasive...the tumor was eliminated and I have not had a recurrence.
