Lee,
I downloaded your trial pic to my laptop and from there onto Imgur. I then tried a preview here, and had no trouble, so I don't think you have a size issue.

Are you seeing the page on Imgur where it says at the top 'view and edit' (in a blue box)? If so, you copy the BBCode and then paste onto this thread. You can preview to verify that it will work. Just the BBCode, nothing else.

It's a really cute pic, and hope this helps.
peanut

One more thing, I've never had to resize anything I've posted where the pic came from my I-phone. I sometimes have issues when the pic comes from someplace else (DH has a fancy digital camera). There is an option on Imgur for editing your pic if necessary.

Something occurred to me. I think you copied the URL from Imgur and pasted it onto this thread using the img box here from the option list. I tried this, and was able to duplicate the error message you got.

To get to the right page from Imgur, you click on your name and choose images, That should take you to the page where you see your pic, click on the pic you want to select, and then you will see the option for the BBCode. Copy that onto this thread and you should be good to go. You can preview to be sure.

Lee,
Since you now have an account with Imgur and your pic seems to be there, I think you will have success if you access it differently.

Go the front page of Imgur.com.

Find your name in the top right hand corner. click on it and select images

This will take you to a page with the pics you have downloaded. Click on the one you want to post.

At this point you should see a list of links and codes, you want to copy the BBCode.

You then paste the BBCode onto Colon Talk. You can preview if you want to make sure.

Hope this helps,

Lee, don’t give up..
It took me quite some time to figur it out how to use imgur.com
And then when I hadn’t done in a long while I felt like it was all new & confusing to me again :?
It is SO much easier to post pictures on other forums...

I just tried the site that CRguy mentioned - and I chose BBCode miniature. It felt almost to easy! Does it work?

Yes! Hurray :) Thank you very much CRguy <3 I will use that place https://imgbb.com/ from now on!

Never heard of a mycologist, LPL. That's the beauty of a thread such as this. What we learn about our members' 'other life'.

Lee, I access Imgur as peanut has described. I will add that after I have logged in & click on my username (which brings up the word 'images'), I click on that. It will let you click on 'add images'. Once your images are uploaded, then you can click on each one individually. Once you bring up that image, there is 'edit image' @ the bottom (below pic) to click. I then go to top right of the pick where the listed pixels are & erase the first one adding 640 for the first pixel & it automatically changes the 2nd pixel number. This resizes the pic that CT accepts which isn't so huge it overtakes the thread. Just my personal preference. Then left side top near pick, click apply, then top center above pic click 'save'. You are then ready to click on copy to message board (on the right about 5th option bar down). You can then go directly to your post on CT & right click to load. No need to use 'image brackets' on CT.

Mob, I know you are not a dog person & I'm not a cat person. But I do have to say your kitty is a cutie & see why "that was the one". And it is always heartwarming when one gives a loving home to "less than perfect" of God's little creatures (including us humans). Where I live people also need to sign an agreement when adopting cats to keep them indoors, though I question whether people honor that from what I see around the neighborhood & in MY yard. Endless postings of lost cats & broken hearts every year on the neighborhood website, especially when the coyotes get hungry. Better for the cats & overall in general. Catios are becoming more popular & recommended nowadays to keep kitty happy @ home. As fancy or simple as one's imagination takes them. Not unlike a fancy kennel for dogs in some ways.

Your story about your dad & beautiful peony warms my heart. I love peonies too, but the journey from plant, to bloom, to vase was touching.

OK peanut, per your request; pics of Chloe's new ride finally out of the box as of last night. The company that makes this particular stroller is located in Canada. Their products are geared toward the needs of senior dogs. It is sturdy, w/pneumatic wheels for sand & trails, shock absorbers, leash inside basket, safety lights on the front wheels for those evening strolls, rain cover, interior padding, soft fleece water proof blankie (some things purchased separately of course). What can I say? I'm a sucker. But Chloe & I are going to finish this race in C-O-M-F-O-R-T & S-T-Y-L-E AND... together.
(that's the plan anyway)

What a joy to check in on CT this afternoon and see such an explosion of new pics. Amy's lovely family and what look to be German shepards, very nice.

I always love to see pics of owls. Thanks for that superb example, LPL. I've even subscribed to a subreddit called r/superbowl. At first glance you might think it's a football themed site, but you would be wrong.

Also quite fond of peonys. My Grandma used to grown a lot of them and make spring bouquets. Mob's is beautiful and sentimental.

Chloe looks like she loves the new dogger and is ready for a test ride. Rollin in style! And your yard looks fabulous! All your hard work is paying off.

Had a bit of rain down here in TX this afternoon. As my old Dad, a former NE farmer would say, 89 hunderts. For some reason every time he says how much rain he has gotten it cracks my DH up. Apparently engineers prefer to refer to rain amounts in tenths of inches rather than hundreds (or the NE version mentioned above). My opinion is that is is pretty close to an inch, which is enough to leave puddles, which some dogs dislike.

Could be the puddles, could be the raincoat.

Look at that dog!! Yes, they are both GSD... one just refuses to hold up his ears.
