We went there on our last trip - maybe 15 years ago. Loved it!

I was wrong, we only made it as far as Cefalu last trip. We did spend our last day in Taormina this time; it was beautiful! We had a lovely lunch overlooking the sea, then walked around for a few hours. It was super hot or I think the kids would have lasted longer. The retail was a little too high end for them (and to be honest, for me too - much as I would have loved a Pucci bikini and a set of Jimmy Choo slides to match!!). But I’m very glad we had a chance to make it there!
And I did some damage in duty free at the La Mer counter at Heathrow today. This Vectibix rash is really driving up my personal care budget...

I was amazed how the locals dressed, to the 9’s even if they are just walking around. Sicily to Heathrow? Yikes, it’s that the long way home? I was lucky and flew my own airplane into Sicily the few times I was there, we came home through the Azores. Definitely recommend the Azores, but it’s out of the way for most travelers.
