CEA dropped!

167 down to 98 after one cycle.

Tell me that's a good response? :lol:
42 dx @ 9wks pregnant w/baby #8 8/18
Sigmoid colon resection 9/18
Adenocarcinoma, G2, T3N0M0..or so we thought
KRAS/BRAF wild
Liver biopsy is malignant, stage iv now boys!
Delivered healthy baby 3/19
FOLFOX + Avastin 5/19
CEA 167 to 24 after 4 rounds
Liver resection 8/28/19
NED!! CEA 2.3
CEA 5.8 idk wtf is up with that, but everything else is clear!
CEA 3.7 make up your damn mind...
CEA 1.5 that's a new low!

That's fantastic AmyG! And from our own (albeit limited) experience, it should keep dropping :D

Yippee!!! That’s a brilliant drop. Sounds like it’s in full surrender mode .

My doctor warned me that it could actually rise before it dropped, but mine dropped at my first read too. I'm so happy to read yours did - for me it was a big sigh of relief to know that things were moving in the right direction!

How have you been feeling now that you've started treatment?

Honestly, I'm feeling fantastic. No real side effects other than the first bite and my mouth feels prickly when I drink anything. Food has lost all flavor until a few days ago. But overall, no complaints!

Don't tell anyone, but the 2 hour drive alone, the 3 hours in the chair with no one taking to me and the drive home was really relaxing!! :shock:

Soooo happy to hear the great response both numerically and physically, let’s hope that is the way it continues throughout for you. Keep the updates coming, love hearing the positivity you exude!

8/12/15 Biopsy from colonoscopy confirms RC (45 yrs old--zero family history!)
9/21 - 10/29/15 chemorad 28 tx (with Xeloda)
12/17/15 APR with perm colostomy
Pathology report stages me as IIIA (T2N1M0)--1/15 LN detects cancer
2/3/16 chemo port inserted
2/8-6/2/16 8 rounds of Folfox

I was also warned it could go up during treatment, but the above is a great trend to continue with :D
