CBD and/or Cannabis oil

Postby MikeManess » Fri May 10, 2019 11:11 pm

Just wondering what everyone thinks about using CBD Oil and Cannabis oil for cancer (along with normal cancer treatments)? In theory, CBD oil and Cannabis oil (like Rick Stevens Oil) binds to the CR1 and CR2 receptors in the cancer cell, promoting cell death. Some people swear by it, others aren't so sure.

I'm not a person that is trying to eliminate traditional treatment, just looking for an additional edge. My oncologist is not opposed to it for dealing with side-effects (says CBD oil can help), but doesn't think it kills cancer.

Opinions?

I have found CBD and RSO to be very helpful for some of the worst chemo side effects, and you are welcome to PM me with questions. Below is a link to a kind of overview pubmed article I found that may be informative, and includes this statement among the conclusions: Collectively, these preliminary data demonstrate that, besides its well known pro-apoptotic anti-proliferative and anti-invasive actions, CBD may also exert anti-angiogenic effects, thus further strengthening its potential application in cancer therapy.

Here's another link from ProjectCBD that includes, at the bottom, links to several pubmed CBD articles:

Hope this helps.

We have had numerous topics in the past about CBD RSO cannabis in general

I have heard that a Doctor's prescription of Marinol will provide the same benefits with the protections of the FDA approved supply chain. Unless the State that you live in has superb oversight over the new marijuana industry, the FDA is not operating in that lane, and therefore I would not trust what is said to be inside these products.

The FDA has recently approved CBD oils in some food products under the farm bill, and those are inspected if they are properly labeled. As for potential cancer cures, this is an absolute NO/GO. Cannabinoids do help with nausea and will make you feel better as previously stated. Just one person's opinion.
All the best!

I found CBD gummies helped with chemo side effects, cramps and nausea. I used CBD cream for hand and foot pain. I wouldn't risk my health on it as a cure but worked better than any prescription nausea meds.
