I won't be here on the 29th, so I just wanted to send best wishes now to your mom for a successful surgery and for a quick recovery. Hopefully this will be the last major surgery and you will be able to return to your university studies next year.

morale of the story: TAKE ACTION! PUSH DOCTORS!

Your mom and I will have surgery the same day! :)
I wish I had a laparoscopy: for me it'll be a nice and long laparotomy (cyto-reductive surgery + HIPEC).

I wish all the best for your mom. Wish me luck!

Hugs,

Paola

I feel exactly the same. I think it's "normal" to have that kind of feeling. We've been waiting for surgery for so long! We just need to try to stay calm (easy to say...).

Keep us updated!

i hate this new "normal." also, mom might have surgery a bit later planned so she would have 6 weeks off avastin as opposed to 5. but still, your surgery dates will still be pretty close. and you're so right, we should stay calm and enjoy this thing we were looking forward to. as opposed to reaching a borderline state of paranoia & "control freakness" (what's the word i'm looking for?); imagining potential disasters that might happen and diligently doing research to come up with rescue scenarios...

"imagining potential disasters that might happen and diligently doing research to come up with rescue scenarios..." ---> That's my specialty
Now, seriously I can't live without a B Plan (is that what you call it in English?). But once I've found that... what's the point in keeping the paranoia?
We should just try to wait calmly... or at least as calmly as we manage to stay!!!
Best of luck!!!
