Happy 20 years of survivorship -- and birthday -- to TCC's founder, Molly!

Postby Staci's team » Tue Feb 19, 2019 3:17 pm

20 years ago today, on her 23rd birthday, a college student from upstate New York underwent emergency surgery to remove a complete blockage for her large intestine. When she woke up, she got the diagnosis no young person wants to hear...."it's cancer."

We all know people who have taken the cancer bull by its horns and thrown it around, but Molly McMaster Morgoslepov has set -- and raised -- the advocacy bar for years. After inline skating across the country less than a year after finishing chemo, then deciding to build a 40 foot model of a colon based on Katie Couric's challenge, and working with Colondar cover model Erika for so many years as the calendar was shot in and around her parents' home in Lake George, New York, Molly has helped to erase the stigma around early onset CRC.

Now, 20 years later, the book that so many of us have heard about for years has made its debut. One Drop of Rain: Creating a Wave of Colon Cancer Awareness is now available from Amazon! If you're so inclined, take a look and learn more about her incredible journey!

Happy birthday to someone I'm privileged to call my real-life friend....love you, Molly!

Happy birthday Molly and very happy anniversary for twenty years. Thanks to all the crew for their hard work. I have been very fortunate to survive for over twenty years as well. I suspect I have some idea of your inner feelings. Hugs Ron.

CoCo” is a 40-foot long replica of a human colon, and much like poop moves
through the real thing, tomorrow you and your kids can crawl through it.

Now we need something like this in Australia ... and I reckon the best possie for it
is next to the Big Ned in Ballarat. Sorted.

Here's to a future in which this forum is archived as a historical record and
malignant neoplasms no longer exist.
DX April 2015, @ 54
35mm poorly diff. tumour, incidental finding following emergency R. hemicolectomy
for ileo-colic intussusception.
Lymph nodes: 0/22
T3 N0 MX
Stage II CRC, no adjuvant chemo required.
