The day I had my surgical consult for my bowel resection, they did an ultrasound of my liver to check for any spots. One was found and noted, was set for biopsy during my surgery.
However, once they were in there they couldn't get to it, meaning it wasn't on the surface of the liver. I had 18 lymphnodes examined and all were cancer free so the liver issue was thought to be something benign, but was always going to be looked at to rule out metastatic issues.
MRI deemed it suspicious, biopsy confirmed it.
It was super easy to see via ultrasound the first time in the surgeon's office, the MRI and during the biopsy.
