Nice contributions everyone!

I fully agree. That's one incredible view to be able to take in daily! Also that vast hedge makes my arms sore from the thought of all the trimming. Hah!

Here are some pics around the Tri-Cities. I have to admit that none of these are taken by me, but rather my son. He's very much into photography, and has been for several years.

Hi ,
Your son has a real eye for photography. He must be a similar age to mine . That’s incredible.

Hi BS ,
You know I never knew that !!
There is a military tattoo in the Castle grounds in August and it’s spectacular. Fireworks are let off down the side of the Castle wall .
It’s worth a visit !!!

I have an amaryllis growing. I may have been a week short planting it as I don't think that the bloom will be open on Christmas Day. I've been taking pictures of it each day with the plan of turning them into a mini time delay video. We'll see how that goes.

Yes I am in the picture with Johnny Cash.
Back in the day Canada Trust named their ATMs Johnny Cash machines and he was there for the launch.
He and June did about a 5 song performance and then posed for pictures with different groups of Canada Trust staff.
My spouse worked for CT at the time so I was invited. Can you spot the non-banker in the picture? That would be me.

BS:
The quiet beauty of your amaryllis clearly speaks to me this Christmas Eve.

This thread and its many posts and sharings has become a soothing oasis. My sincere gratitude to all who contribute to this thread and who make it what it is.

Decorated by me. We had 10 for dinner and overnight, sadly a few less than
previous years, but still polished off more than half of a 22lb turkey...

I'm a little more colourful than that :P ....

My American geography may not be the greatest, so I am puzzled how one can have such a gorgeous view of crashing
waves when they are in the Capital of Texas?
