Phew for now

Postby dliu » Fri Nov 30, 2018 8:12 am

Just got the latest CT results after 10 rounds of FOLFOX and Avastin. Things are stable in the liver, lesions are still necrotic, and there was further (slight) reduction to the bigger lesion (started at 12cm, now 8-something).

The microscopic nodules in the lungs are unchanged and though still monitored they don't look suspicious to our oncologist.

Can't say I'm loving the news but "stable" was still sweet sweet words, and I love the fact that my mum will get a break for a while. She hasn't been in the best mood lately as the chemo/hospital routine seemed never ending, so it'll be good when it finally sinks in that she won't have to step into a hospital at least until late January.

If anyone with a similar background has a history of being stable for a while and feels like sharing, that will of course make my day, or many days!
