Welcome to the Forum, and I'm sorry to hear of your situation.I don't know much about polyps, but removal of 15 polyps sounds like a lot to me.
My main question would be: What have your doctors discussed with you already? Have they done a full medical history on you lately? What is your doctor's interpretation of the unusually large number of polyps?
It would seem to me that they would want to do more than just wait another 6 months to see what might happen. Maybe they could do some
genetic tests, or other types of test.
If you are not getting good explanations from your current doctor, maybe you should look for a different doctor who could give a proper diagnosis of this condition.

The
number of polyps found is an important part of the diagnosis. Other important elements are indicated in the articles below. You should know more once you receive the biopsy report .Hopefully they are sending a blood sample out to test for familial genetic conditions
