The recovery at the hospital went smoothly. I woke up after two hours from anestesia and had a bit of painkiller IV because of pain in the stomy area. After that I managed with only paracetamol, first IV and then as tablets. I also did not experience nausea or abdominal pain. The first day I ate only a tomato soup and orange juce. The second day ate some toasted bread with cheese, cucumber and tomatoes. The tomato soup went through after few hours and then I have been passing more soft stool, including some coagulated blood. The sphincters are doing their job, but it is only day 3
At the hospital they just told me to eat light and small meals, not much fruit and veggies because of gas formation. They did not prescribe any medicament. Will keep you updated.
