I had this time-release anti-nausea injection at my first FOLFOX infusion on 5/4. I still have a painful lump, and in fact it has been hurting more and more in the last few days, sometimes when I'm not even moving or using my arm. (There are no signs of an infection.)
Since I have not had even a smidgen of nausea so far--Cycle 2 day is Thursday, four days away--I am thinking of refusing the shot this time. I certainly couldn't have it in the same arm, and I'm not keen on the idea of being in pain on both sides for who knows how long! I can always have it again Cycle 3 if I experience nausea that the so-far-untouched meds don't fix.
Has anyone else had this long-lasting, painful reaction to Sustol? How long did it take to go away? Anyone refused the injections?
I realize that this is kind of a "first world problem" in the realm of CRC.
