Finally getting an answer tomorrow

Postby Aqx99 » Sun Oct 15, 2017 9:54 pm

From the beginning my oncologist has said "4 months, that's 5 or 6 cycles," every time I asked her how long I would be in chemo. Tomorrow morning I go in to start cycle #5. She's going to have to answer my question then!

And the answer is 6. Also, we had to delay today's chemo until next week because my counts were too low. She's going to reduce my doses for the last 2 cycles.

Well at least you know you only have two rounds left. Sorry you couldn't get your chemo today. But soon will be done. How often do you go?

My cycles are 3 weeks long. I get an infusion on day one and start the capecitabine pills. I take the pills for 2 weeks, then have a week off.

That's what I thought. That's how mine were every 3 weeks with pills for two weeks and one week off. That week off was always nice. Well hopefully
you get your 5th infusion next week and then only one more to go.
