JEP, none that I noticed in 11 weeks. We had an early discussion about sex after a colostomy and his opinion was "not happening" and mine was "let me know when you're ready" then I let the subject drop. The colostomy still drives a lot of his temperment these days, more so than the chemo even.

We had gone out to dinner at a Mexican place the night before with 3 other people and it was a lovely night getting out and away. I'm not saying nachos=erections but perhaps it was the normalcy of it. Perhaps a lot of it is mental.

Pyro: we have a 6 yr old and an almost 9 yr old....you've been through so much...Thank you for your response....my DH's port goes in tomorrow, so we seem to be toward the beginning of this journey. Chemo starts on Monday, so our plan is to just live, love, and as always, family first.
Thanks,
jep

In this article it says that it may take up to 2 years for recovery...

No problems here, but my onc said no sex since the chemo could be bad for the wife. I was told basically that any exchange of bodily fluids can be harmful to the other person.

Before all this cancer crap, I was a stud. All my life I've had a high libido. Butt it is very difficult making love with two tubes sticking out of my belly, wondering if I'm gonna pass some chemo-disease to my partner in the fluid transfer, all the while hoping I don't have to run to the bathroom...(cheeks, stay together!) A lot of this is mental. Good luck...and if you just be there for him, he is a very lucky man.

Inoperable...hepatic artery
11/15 oper to rem block...colon bypass
4/16 oper to remove scar tissue
5/16 Lynch pos.
10/16 Two bile tubes installed to relieve jaundice
So far I have done the three main chemo drug rounds and on 12/19/16 start Keytruda.
No chemo after 8/3/16 CEA: 10/14/16-409 12/19/16- 887 Mostly my CEA was in the 140-180 range.

There is an easy and cheap solution for this.
58 yo male at diagnosis: T1bN0M0, 0/15 nodes, low grade/moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma
03/2016 colonoscopy: 2 small polyps removed in left colon; CEA = 1.3
04/2016 colonoscopy: caecum sessile 3.5 cm polyp piecemeal removed with kind of clear margins
05/2016 "prophylactic" laparoscopic right hemicolectomy - bleeding, leak, infection
06/2017 CT scan, colonoscopy OK; CEA = 1.6
A lot of funny stuff discovered by CT scans in liver, kidney, lungs, arteries, gallbladder, lymph node, pancreas
