Diane, Some of us know what we want from life here on this planet, some of us know more of what we don't want. It always seemed to me that Frenchie had a handle on both, yet a compassionate man. Frenchie made a tough decision a few years back & you respected & supported his decision. No doubt very difficult for you. Difficult for Frenchie as I know he tried not to look back. That's gotta be tough. I will always remember "Our Frenchie" as a champion. The man had guts & I'm guessing through most all of his life. I can only imagine some of the stories I tried to get out of him from time to time. :)

This is my small tribute to Ron. It is a Paul Anka tribute video (a Canadian) who wrote "My Way" for Frank Sinatra.

Extending my most heartfelt sympathy to you for the loss of your dear Ron.

Hoping your memories of the good times will help carry you through your sorrow.

RIP Frenchie, My Friend. I still wish we had been neighbors.

I'm so sorry to hear this... When I learned this I immediately got depressed and have been down the whole day. Frenchie was one of the first personalities I encountered here at CT more than 2 years ago. He was witty, funny, smart, and seemed to be a very nice guy. The "5 year club" badge on his profile inspired me and gave me hope and determination for my mom.

This disease is so ruthless, and discriminates not...

May God rest his soul and comfort his loved ones...

No words can express the sadness we feel over such a bright light leaving this earth. He certainly used up all nine of his lives - the Grim Reaper had to work hard to snatch him away!!! His spirit and humor lightened our loads on this forum many, many times and he will be sorely missed.

Diana, may the love of family and the support from friends help you through the journey ahead.

I have to respect the caretaker of this intelligent man, we all wish we could be! There are just some battles you can't win, but with your personal army, all was worth it !
May the brightest light shine down, as the pain is gone, dear Frenchie, you also did all you could do !
Warm Regards,
