Finally some awesome news!!!!

Postby BeansMama » Fri Jun 30, 2017 9:07 am

Well there is finally a plan for Larry's eviction!!!! 2 more months of treatment, a ct scan, and surgery in September!!! It is so nice to finally have an idea of when surgery is going to happen. No more will it be this time? And then finding out nope, not yet. I feel like there is finally a light at the end of this long dark tunnel.

And today is my birthday!!! Finally a good ending to a pretty crappy week. Stb ex was being a jerk Tuesday so I went out for a walk. Stepped in a pothole, fell, and fractured my elbow and the head of the humerus of my right arm. Of course my dominant hand. I can't do diddly with my left and it's all I have. My house is a wreck, my arm is killing me - thankfully my palliative care NP was at the hospital where my oncs office is. I called her nurse to let her know what happened and see if there was anything we could do for the pain. She popped over to see me and increased my oxy dose temporarily. Figuring out how to drive etc. I will overcome this too. It's going to be 4 - 12 weeks before it is better. Go to see the ortho on the 10th. They think I have ligament damage in my hand as well but that has to be checked with an MRI. Fun fun fun. Just in time for my insurance plan year to reset and I have to start paying co-pays again tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about the arm though. I hope you have some friends to help with meals for a bit. It's OK to ask for help.

Dear BeansMama,

Wonderful to hear the plans for September :)

But Wow..
Stepped in a pothole, fell, and fractured my elbow and the head of the humerus of my right arm. Of course my dominant hand. I can't do diddly with my left and it's all I have. My house is a wreck, my arm is killing me

Can you sue the people responsible for the road??

You know I know how you feel regarding this fracture(!), it is hard not being able to use your right arm when you are right handed. Even a thing like brushing teeth becomes a big problem..

I will be thinking about you.
Sending happy thoughts for September and
thoughts for strength & speedy healing of your arm.

Ditto with what LPL suggested - contact your local authority about the pothole regarding
public indemnity. At the very least, they should provide you with Home Help as a gesture of
good will. There is nothing more uplifting to the soul (imho) than watching someone else
clean the house... :D

Happy birthday!

Here's to a good healing of your arm and staying on course for September.
