Opdivo- here we go!

Postby dmondgirl » Wed May 17, 2017 6:32 pm

My fiancé started his first treatment with Opdivo yesterday! I provided a copy of all the information I have gathered from here and colontown fb page gave him a copy so that he knows I'm on top of my finance's health and I'm well informed( not an expert but I am trying everyday to become more knowledgeable). We love our oncologist so we trust his judgement .... right now he wants to try opdivo by itself to see how things go (he has confidence it will work) .... I will get a copy of his foundation test to see all the mutants and like that also keep an eye of future trials and treatments combos ..

We doing Opdivo because after the 4 treatment of erbitux with folfiri there was no shrinkage but everything was stable so immunotherapy was the next big step his oncologist had on his list.

Going to try and put my fiancé info in my signature:)

That is so good to know. Eliz, are the doctors planning to have him nivolumab monotherapy, or keep a combination with chemo?

All the best with your fiance. BeansMama has had great success with Keytruda. I believe they are the same. She had gone from "not a candidate for surgery" to "surgery in her near future". Larry's getting his eviction notice.

Hope it is as successful for your fiance.
