My mum was diagnosed around a year ago with stage 4 metastasis to the lungs after around a year of being told she had ovarian cysts. In the hospital they told her she had came to late and that cancer had "leaked all over her abdominal cavity." the surgeon gave her a death sentence and I thought I was going to lose my mum less than a semester into my freshmen year of college. Today my mum called me and told me that the Xeloda and Avastin treatment has shrunk her lung nodules and I was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. I'm hoping soon she will just be on maintenance. I would've never thought we'd come so far in just a year. I know I don't port much but finding you all helped me cope so much. I am so grateful for everyone here and those who have left us too. I know many of you are my seniors but I can't help but think of you all as my close, amazing friends.Thank you Thank you Thank you all, truly.
