Dear BB,
Thank you for the update and inspiration. I am in the newbie category having joined in 2016 but quickly recognized you as a wealth of information and success story to follow. Thanks for keeping it real in showing that every day is not a bed of roses even with your remarkably positive attitude. I have often read upbeat posts on here with envy as the tension and somberness in our house this year is often overwhelming. I pray that between Dr K and all of the aforementioned immunotherapy pending, you will be on your way to many more days not thinking about cancer very soon!

I don't post much but I still keep my eye out for updates. I bought a bike recently and thought about all those miles you have logged post diagnosis. I even thought about buying an odometer! Your strength inspires. Take care.

Hi Eric,

If Roseanne Rosanadana was around I know she would say "if it's not one thing, it's another"....

You have had a real bunch of crap to deal with over the past several months. I hope things will be calming down. I hope Kemeny keeps refining the plan and that you can catch a break.

Hang in there, pal. You have many, many here who love and support you.

Love,

Bev

Hello Brownbagger, Well I'm not an old timer, not a newbie, but coming up on 2 yrs here. Don't know why I'm still hangin 'round here on CT, but I am. Must be the caregiver in me. The newbies that do any kind of reading on here mostly likely are familiar w/who some of us are.
Nice pics. I'm worn out just looking at them :)
Just wanted to mention that it appears the "new mindset" is that clinical trials are not necessarily considered the "last resort" to tx anymore. Rather they (whoever that is) recommend considering trials @ each major tx decision.
So, having said that, we have a fairly new sticky thread: Clinical Trials & Important Links. On there is listed various resources, incl phone support to assist in the search for suitable clinical trials for which one may qualify should you want to have an idea of what may even be doable for you (location wise + other criteria) to present to or ask Dr. K about @ some point in time. I know you said you were going to let her handle that end, just throwing it out there.
Good to hear you don't mind the port & hoping the switch brings you some good results.

Best Wishes

That drone has some mighty righteous image stabilization going on there bro' !

I see you're getting cheeky, bringing it down thru a road "canopy" instead of the nice safe field further out

IMPRESSIVE. That is quite a drone you've got there. Looks like beautiful land. Love your garden. Mine has mostly died recently, way to hot here.

Sorry for all your medical issues, hope things turn around for the better for you.

Nice flying! What a beautiful property too! I felt like a bird soaring over the trees!

Are the shorter green blobs (about 1:57) young trees that you've planted? Are the photos available in both JPEG and RAW format? I think UAV's are going to revolutionize farming!

The bigger softwood trees were all planted by my grandfather. The smaller ones growing in the understory and in the openings (drought or disease) are all white pine volunteers. That's the next forest. We're counting on it.

Totally agree about coming and going on CT, but it is nice to see you post as it really does bring out all the old timers. Wishing you well BB, and hope that you continue to kick the can down the road until the immunotherapy option becomes more solid for a cure.

I, like many folks check in from time to time and I'm glad to see you're still doing what you love. I have heard some good stories about immunotherapy so hope to read you're on that successful path soon. You've been through enough recently......

Anyway, love the garden! I have become a gardening maniac since retiring and spend most of my time outside in my garden or other gardens where I volunteer. My husband is a bike rider and has been very impressed with your mileage. You continue to inspire by living well!

Take care. Laura
