CEA rises again

Postby kpjpmom » Mon Aug 10, 2015 9:29 pm

CEA was 386, then 356 two weeks ago and now it is 583 today. These were taken two weeks apart each time. Scan done in July says tumor in tailbone looks stable, no other spots noted. I continue to have pain in left buttock and down sciatic nerve due to tumor oncologist thinks. He upped my pain patch and gave RX for Lyrica. Any one have CEA that jumped around like this with bone mets? I have had it also be in 400 and 200 range. Currently on ironiticen and Erbitux. Thanks friends!

Well, my CEA just went up today, but mine started low at 4.9, then kept going town to eventually 1.2, today it's 3.6 or 4.6 or around there. Still low but I'm sure it's the chemo, hopefully. No bone mets or others that I know of tho, wish I could help more, hopefully someone else will chime in. I'm on iri too now after surgery, went down b4 surgery on oxi
